The new horizons of unity in the Mandingo Community embrace emancipation from projected periods that ensnared the Mandingoes into self suppression and lost of opportunity that denied our collection participation and limited our chances for advancing our community, particularly in politics.

We segregated ourselves on flimsy grounds of dialectics and affiliations that further polarized us into profuse views and opinions that had no direct benefits to posterity. This was reckless and only the generations of our children would have paid the prices, had our senses not coalesce in a synchronized direction.

The powers of Mandingoes and our political, economic and religious conquest in Sub Sahara Africa got eroded between the 17th and 19th centuries; when identity crises began as a result of the transatlantic slave trade. Perhaps the consequences of these crises still reflect and impact on what we as people of common identity since we make emphasis on issues that further disintegrate us as Mandingoes.

We must be grateful to God for endowing His blessings on the National Mandingo Caucus with reason for resuscitating the value of our unity in Liberia; as it is done in the United State of America, the United Kingdom, Canada, and other parts of the world.

The united decision to allow Hon. Alhaji G.V. Kromah to vie for the By-election in the senatorial position of Montserrado County evident the resurgence of our unity that posterity will recount to coming generations.

Be that as it may, it is also a clear message to those that capitalized on our disunity as fault lines to perpetrate their nefarious and despicable desires. Our resolve to unite is resolute, assertive, affirmative and supportive to the growth and development of Liberia, our community and people.  We can only destroy ourselves if we fail to unite, but we limit to progress of any can if we are consistent and resolute in our philosophy and spirit of “we can do”, the sky will only be the limit.

The message here therefore, irrespective of our educational backgrounds, political affiliations, economic positions, social status, and connections in society, the most important requirement for our progress is “Unity in diversity”. This forms the basis our success as Mandingoes and that no member of the Mandingo tribe is allowed to circumvent or thwart this collective decision making.

The National Mandingo Caucus sees this process as a primary pillar for our involvement into politics etc.  This also illustrates the fact that we must come out on November 14, 2009, the day of the by-election to cast our votes for Hon. Alhaji G.V. Kromah since he got the consent of the National Mandingo Caucus (which is the parent body of all Mandingo originations)
