The leadership of the Federation of Liberian Mandingo
Associations in the United States of America (FELMAUSA)
says it will support any candidate who emerges to be the
choice of the Mandingo Caucus in Liberia.
Read Statement Below:
Several days ago, we received letter from the National
Mandingo Caucus of Liberia inviting us to contribute to
the process of selecting a single candidate to represent
the collective interests of our Liberian Mandingo
community at home and abroad.
We were officially informed through this communication
that the National Mandingo Caucus of Liberia has set up
a committee headed by Hon. Soko V. Sackor to scrutinize
three potential candidates, Pro. Alhaji GV Kromah, Sam
Mohammed Kromah, and Faison Jakiay.
Since all the three candidates endorsed this vetting
process by the National Mandingo Caucus of Liberia, we
will support any candidate that emerges through the
process.

We recognize and respect the leadership
role played by Prof. Alhaji Kromah over
the years for our community and the
Liberian nation.
We recognize and respect the social advocacy role Sam
Kromah has played over the years in the Liberian
Diasporas community.
We also recognize and respect the role Faison Jakitay
played in LURD that resulted into the removal of the
tyrant Charles Taylor from power and the ushering in of
the current democratic process in Liberia.
All these men have demonstrated leadership at various
levels in our struggle in Liberia and they all enjoy our
trust and support.
We trust the process undertaken by the Caucus and if the
process decides on any of the potential candidates, that
candidate has our moral and financial supports.
Signed: Richmond Mohammed Konneh
President, FELMAUSA
