The Election Commission charged with overseeing the electoral process of The Liberian Mandingo Association of Pennsylvanian, LIMAP, Is pleased to inform the public that it has decided to have special elections for the executives.

The commission’s decision, which was made in consultation with the current officials of the association, was made based on the facts that the eligibility prerequisites set forth by the Election commission were not met; there were also no candidates to vie for the contested positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer respectively. 

Based on those conditions, the General Assembly agreed that the Election Commission meet to decide a timetable for the executive elections. 

On Wednesday July 02, 2008, the Election Commission met as agreed by the General Assembly to finally decide the times, dates and venues for registrations, debates and elections respectively. 

Below are the dates, times and venues:  please be informed that it is a requirement that all candidates vying for the position of president must submit their platforms.

Registration for candidates and voters starts on July 14, 2008 and ends July 26, 2008, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 3pm to 5pm. At Mariam Bamba store located at 6515 Woodland Avenue Philadelphia pa, 19142

Debate for candidates will take place on August 01, 2008 at 3pm. The venue is 6300 Gray Avenue Philadelphia pa, 19142

Elections will be held on August 02, 2008 from 11: 30 am to 6:00pm at 6300 Gray Avenue Philadelphia pa, 19142
