Brother Jabateh started his primary education in Liberia until the senseless Liberian civil war took him to Guinea, like majority of our brothers. While in Guinea, brother Jabateh used the opportunity to learned French while he was in the refugee school. This was during the early part of the refugee school days. He was actively involved in many activities that uplifted the lives of many of his peers financially and morally, but little did he know that the breeze of life will throw him to la Côte d’Ivoire, where he continue his studies. Brother Abdel has always been an influential figure in our community. He is a founding member of ONYMA and a big promoter of community activities. His involvement is not only limited to his community, but he looks beyond the scope of the Mandingo community by engaging into youth activities in NYC and it surrounding. He volunteered for many organizations here in the United States. Brother Abdel Jabateh is the host and producer for AFRO TALK SHOW where he brings personalities from all walks of lives to share their views on crucial issue affecting communities across the United Sates. He’s currently enrolled in college and soon to become IT professional. Ladies and gentlemen, please congratulate Bro.
