Personality of the week is a weekly program created by our team to highlight the leadership and contributions of individual that that are making a positive impact in our community.
This week our POTW is Hassan Fadiga from the state of Minnesota. Hassan is a community activist, a blogger, law enforcement professional, and a security consultant, who has dedicated his efforts to serving his community for more than seven years. He is born to the union of Mr. Naby Moise Fadiga and Mrs. Christiana Sarah Marshall, in Buchanan Grand Bassa County.
In 2004, Mr. Fadiga resettled to the United States as a refugee where he pursued a career in law enforcement. He holds an AA degree in Criminal Justice & Law Enforcement, B.Sc. Police Science & Security Management, MA. Forensic Psychology & Human Service. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Walden University.
In 2011, Hassan co-founded the Radio Africa which has raised money to help the less fortunate in his home country, Liberia. Also, he has helped support various organizations both in and out of his country. Hassan has served as a volunteer at CEAP deliver Meals on Wheels (MOW) to homes of elderly, and disabled adults in Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park communities .
While his career goal is centered on law enforcement, he is also interested in leading complex projects in a variety of working settings. Hassan loves writing, reading, discussing socio-political issues, traveling, playing chess, blogging, listening to music, and hanging out with his daughter, Nabyca, and son, Naby.
